Request: Bring back Bibs!
Ok now I understand that a lot of players during the beta did not like the Tabards or bibs which have now been replaced by the capes we have today.
But on some of the models, like my female elementalists... capes look rubbish! And in some cases warp through my armor or my staff!
A lot of people are asking for toggelable capes, but if that would be a issue why not just allow players to select between a cape, tabard or bib?
You could expand this by adding other types of things as well like tatoos.
I know this has been discussed in the past in the forum, but I wanted to make a thread for it
Please A.net! Your capes are butt ugly.

I actually favor the capes. I think that the old ones (bibs) looked bad. IMHO I think that they should make the guild emblem where it can be imbedded in your armor and if the person wants a cape then they can have one, but make it optional.

I agree as well...
I like the look of my armor, and druid's or hunter's armors look pretty bad with the capes...

Then maybe they should have two types of capes? The current ones for warriors and such... smaller ones for elementalists, ect...

I think it's been discussed before, although I agree that there should be an option to toggle on/off the capes in future updates.

I agree! There should be an option to have a Bib, Cape, Tabard or nothing at all!
I love my armour, it's dyed green and suits my character perfectly... though that Dark Blue cape i'm wearing.. it just taunts me... going through my legs and my arms... ARGH! I can't take it anymore!

It would be pretty cool in instead of a cape or bib they could carve a symbol or guild logo into the back of the amor. It would also be nice to prevent many duplications of sybols that we could create our own and import them into the game.

Hunter's Armor
That is REALLY sad they've removed hunter's armor from the game. It's the best looking armor imho for rangers.

And why have they removed that armor? Anyway. Are you crazy? I'd rather have my cape flying through my arm than look like about to eat a full rack of ribs. You say ur cape looks horrible? Maybe that was just a poor design on you or your guild's side. I think our capes look awsome.

I don't remember the exact name for it, but they should implement the japanese system the samurai used to identify commanders/rally points in battle. Its the pole thing that attaches to the back of your armour, sticks up about 5+ feet over your head, and then have a flag waving off of it.

How a Guild Tee-shirt? You could be like..."Yeah, I'm in that band..." Or would rather just be a groupee instead?

How about having the flag sticking out horizontally from behind you so it looks like it's coming out of your rear?

That would be cool too (although I wouldn't really want it to be that conpicuous with the 5+ feet over your head thing,) I think it would look really great with certain monk and ranger armor sets.
By the way, Yoshimitsu from Soul Calibur has one in case anyone has a hard time picturing what it looks like.
But yeah, it would really be nice to have an option (perhaps from your head icon in the guild menu?) to switch between the cape, bib, or nothing.

Yes, but think of the tons of immature brats that will just put 5 penises on their cape.
No, absolutely not.
I agree, though, that capes should be toggable.

I would actually just like the option to turn the graphics for Cape / bib or what ever on or off. Non are without flaws and I personally would just like to beable to switch that graphic off.

What did the bibs look like for those of us who didn't catch them when they were around? Any screenshots?
